All of our fixtures begin with a high-quality matte black powder coat, electrostatically applied and baked onto the iron to create a smooth, consistent foundation. Over this black base, our Antique Copper finish is applied entirely by hand using metallic copper tones brushed directly onto the iron.
The copper patina is laid on in light, controlled passes so it naturally highlights the raised areas—hammered textures, scrolls, and forged edges—while the matte black base settles in the deeper recessed portions. This creates the classic aged-copper look: warm metallic highlights over a dark, matte background. The finish has a soft metallic sheen that catches the light without becoming shiny or polished.
Because the highlighting is hand-applied, each fixture has its own subtle variations across the ironwork, giving it an authentic, artisan character. This finish is especially striking on pieces with heavy texture or ornate details, where the copper patina brings out the shape and craftsmanship of the design.
Antique Copper fits seamlessly into Spanish Revival, Mediterranean, rustic, and old-world homes, adding a warm metallic touch that brings depth and character to the ironwork.
